I painted this small watercolor of almond blossom and flowers in a deserted little village, Lagos, a short distance inland from Motril, Granada, Spain about ten years ago. I had forgotten all about it until I rediscovered it this week. Ithink it is quite charming.

Born in Chelmsford, England. I grew up in Falmouth but lived and worked as an artist in Truro from 1970 until I moved to Spain. I have been painting since I was 2 years old but I also have a love of nature, my animals, classical music and dance. In 2002 I moved to Spain and now live in a cortijo near Alhabia, Almeria, Southern Spain. The scenery around my home provides endless, beautiful subjects for landscape and seascape painting and I get inspiration from the dramatic landscapes of Andalucia and the old cities, towns and villages which I usually paint in watercolour.
