The beautiful, 13th Century church of St. Just in Roseland is built beside a tidal creek on the south coast of Cornwall. It is one of my favourite Cornish scenes to paint, particularly at high tide when the building and boats are reflected in the water. The last five watercolours I painted of this church were all commissioned by people who had visited this lovely spot or for presents for couples who were recently married there.

Born in Chelmsford, England. I grew up in Falmouth but lived and worked as an artist in Truro from 1970 until I moved to Spain. I have been painting since I was 2 years old but I also have a love of nature, my animals, classical music and dance. In 2002 I moved to Spain and now live in a cortijo near Alhabia, Almeria, Southern Spain. The scenery around my home provides endless, beautiful subjects for landscape and seascape painting and I get inspiration from the dramatic landscapes of Andalucia and the old cities, towns and villages which I usually paint in watercolour.
