This is a watercolour of the little village of Beires in the Sierra Nevada of La Alpujarra Almeriense, Andalucia, Spain. The mountains in the background are the Sierra de Gador. In this landscape I have tried to capture the impression of the light and colour of the white houses, trees and mountains.
I sell my original paintings to customers all over the world and am happy to quote for this watercolour including delivery direct to your home.
Born in Chelmsford, England. I grew up in Falmouth but lived and worked as an artist in Truro from 1970 until I moved to Spain. I have been painting since I was 2 years old but I also have a love of nature, my animals, classical music and dance. In 2002 I moved to Spain and now live in a cortijo near Alhabia, Almeria, Southern Spain. The scenery around my home provides endless, beautiful subjects for landscape and seascape painting and I get inspiration from the dramatic landscapes of Andalucia and the old cities, towns and villages which I usually paint in watercolour. I am also interested in portraiture, dance and figure studies and my preferred medium for these is soft pastel. I have shipped my paintings all over the world and will...
