A corner of Beires in La Alpujarra, Almeriense, Almeria, Andalucia, Spain.There are so many pretty corners and street scenes in the villages of La Alpujarra Almeriense that it is difficult to choose a composition to paint. I decided to paint this watercolour of a corner of Beires because I liked the backdrop of the mountains of the Sierra de Gador and the bougainvillea and jasmine climbing up walls is very typical of the villages.
I sell my original paintings to collectors all over the world and am happy to quote for this watercolour including delivery straight to your home.
Born in Chelmsford, England. I grew up in Falmouth but lived and worked as an artist in Truro from 1970 until I moved to Spain. I have been painting since I was 2 years old but I also have a love of nature, my animals, classical music and dance. In 2002 I moved to Spain and now live in a cortijo near Alhabia, Almeria, Southern Spain. The scenery around my home provides endless, beautiful subjects for landscape and seascape painting and I get inspiration from the dramatic landscapes of Andalucia and the old cities, towns and villages which I usually paint in watercolour.
