A watercolour of St. Just in Roseland church. This iconic church overlooks a creek in the estuary of the River Fal in Roseland, Cornwall. It is one of my favourite scenes to paint in Cornwall and I decided to paint it again as many people have asked me for a painting of this church and I have sold all my previous works.
Born in Chelmsford, England. I grew up in Falmouth but lived and worked as an artist in Truro from 1970 until I moved to Spain. I have been painting since I was 2 years old but I also have a love of nature, my animals, classical music and dance. In 2002 I moved to Spain and now live in a cortijo near Alhabia, Almeria, Southern Spain. The scenery around my home provides endless, beautiful subjects for landscape and seascape painting and I get inspiration from the dramatic landscapes of Andalucia and the old cities, towns and villages which I usually paint in watercolour. I am also interested in portraiture, dance and figure studies and my preferred medium for these is soft pastel. I have shipped my paintings all over the world and will...
