Description
The front porch of a little old cortijo in Santa Cruz de Marchena, a village near my home in La Alpujarra Almeriense, Andalucia, Spain. In the villages around here there are many pretty little corners that would make good paintings but I am often attracted by the old and weatherbeaten as subjects for my watercolours. I particularly liked this untidy terrace, with the old, wooden door and white, metal chairs, covered by a vine arbour.
