Corner of flowers. Ohanes. Every time I visit Ohanes I see something new to paint in this pretty village in La Alpujarra Almeriense. I particularly liked the colours, light and shadows in this typical, narrow street of flowers.
Cada vez que visito Ohanes veo algo nuevo para pintar en este bonito pueblo de La Alpujarra Almeriense. Me gustaron especialmente los colores, la luz y las sombras en esta tÃpica y estrecha calle de flores.
Born in Chelmsford, England. I grew up in Falmouth but lived and worked as an artist in Truro from 1970 until I moved to Spain. I have been painting since I was 2 years old but I also have a love of nature, my animals, classical music and dance. In 2002 I moved to Spain and now live in a cortijo near Alhabia, Almeria, Southern Spain. The scenery around my home provides endless, beautiful subjects for landscape and seascape painting and I get inspiration from the dramatic landscapes of Andalucia and the old cities, towns and villages which I usually paint in watercolour.
